Justice Glustein received a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University. He clerked for Madam Justice L’Heureux-Dubé of the Supreme Court of Canada before being admitted to the Bar of Quebec and the Bar of Ontario. He practiced commercial litigation and class action law at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto where he became a partner of the firm. In 2006, he was appointed as an Associate Judge and in 2014 he was appointed as a Judge at the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. He was an adjunct professor with the University of Toronto Law School and sat on the Superior Court of Justice E-Discovery Implementation Committee. Since 2021, he has been Team Lead of the Class Proceedings Group in Toronto, which currently manages approximately 375 class actions involving constitutional, employment, securities, product liability, and consumer matters.
