Michael W. McTigue Jr.

Michael W. McTigue Jr. is a partner in Skadden’s New York office and one of the leaders of the firm’s mass arbitration practice. He is one of the country’s preeminent class action defense litigators, representing leading companies in high-stakes class actions, mass arbitrations, and complex civil litigation across jurisdictions nationwide.

Mike has an extensive track record of successfully defending clients in matters involving consumer, privacy, and technology-related claims, and is widely regarded for developing novel strategies to address the growing use of mass arbitration as a litigation tactic. Recognized for his client service and litigation leadership, Mike has been repeatedly honored by Benchmark Litigation, BTI Consulting Group, Lawdragon, and The Legal Intelligencer. He is a frequent speaker on class action and mass arbitration issues and recently co-authored a leading report on the coercive dynamics of mass arbitration on behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform.
