President & CEO, FedArb (USA)
Kennen D. Hagen is President and CEO of FedArb, a leading national provider of arbitration, mediation, and other complex dispute resolution services. Over nearly 15 years with the firm, he has helped grow FedArb into a premier ADR provider, recruiting an elite panel that includes the largest collection of former Article III judges and senior leaders from top law firms.
Mr. Hagen has also played a key role in advancing FedArb’s leadership in mass arbitration. He led the redesign of FedArb’s mass arbitration rules, introducing an MDL-inspired framework that allows early dispositive motions, consolidates common issues, and significantly reduces the cost and complexity of large-scale filings. He has written and spoken on the evolving landscape of mass arbitration and how companies and counsel can better manage the financial and procedural risks associated with high-volume claims.
Prior to joining FedArb, Mr. Hagen spent a decade as Managing Director of a private wealth management firm overseeing approximately $100 billion for ultra-high-net-worth clients. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker focused on technology sector mergers and acquisitions, completing more than $50 billion in transactions. He also practiced law for ten years at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, where he was a securities litigator and co-head of the firm’s securities litigation practice group.
Mr. Hagen holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He helped create and fund the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins University and is a co-founder and Executive Committee board member of the William H. Adams Foundation for ALS Research.
