Alessandra De Luca is Associate Professor in Private Comparative Law, Department of Legal Sciences, University of Florence. She obtained the National Academic Qualification as Full Professor in Comparative Law in 2023.

She is Vice-Head of the Department of Legal Sciences, University of Florence (2023) and member of the Faculty Board of the Doctorate in Legal Sciences at the University of Florence (2012).

She obtained her PhD in “Comparative Law” from the University of Florence (2004).

She is Associate member of the IACL (International Academy of Comparative Law) and member of ELI (European Law Institute) and SIRD (Italian Society for Comparative Law Research).

She is the author of numerous publications, including a textbook, “Comparative Legal Systems. An Introduction” with Elena Ioriatti (Giappichelli, 2024), two monographs in Italian, as well as various contributions to books and journals in Italian and English. He has held seminars and conferences at various Italian and foreign universities and has participated in national and international research projects.

She has extensive teaching experience, including innovative approaches such as legal clinics and participation in moot competitions. At present she teaches “Comparative Legal Systems” and “Conflict management and sustainable justice”.

Her research Interests include Comparative Law, Civil Justice Systems, Procedural Law, Access to Justice, ADR, clinical legal education.
