With a degree in Law from the University of Granada and an expert in Insolvency Law from the University of Deusto, she joined the judiciary in 2002 and is a specialist magistrate for the General Council of the Judiciary in commercial matters.

Since 2018, she has advised the Ministry of Justice on national and international commercial issues and has been involved in negotiations with European institutions on the most relevant regulations in the fields of company law, corporate governance and sustainability, insolvency/restructuring law and representative actions for the protection of collective consumer interests (class actions), as well as before the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

In February 2024, she joined the Technical Office of the Supreme Court (First Chamber) as a decision-support magistrate.

She is an associate professor of commercial law at the University of Alcalá.

She is a corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Spain.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Insolvency Institute.

She is the author of several specialised publications on commercial law, particularly in the areas of corporate law, corporate governance and insolvency. She is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on commercial law.
