David is Senior Partner of Edwin Coe LLP in London. He is co-President of the Collective Redress Lawyers Association. He was President of the Law Society of England & Wales and is a former President of the London Solicitors Litigation Association. As an elected member of the Council David also co-chairs the Human Rights and Rule of Law Committee of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. David and his firm have been practising in class actions for some 35 years and have been involved in some of the major milestones in the development of class actions in the UK and other jurisdictions. David was one of the founding members of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee and of the Civil Justice Council. he writes and speaks widely on civil justice and is consultant editor of the New Law Journal and the UIA Juriste.
