Margriet de Boer

Margriet de Boer is a partner and co-founder of dispute resolution boutique Ysquare. She has over 20 years of experience in a broad range of complex, multiparty or cross-border disputes, including class actions and arbitration. Her recent work includes acting as defence counsel to Oracle and to Google in GDPR class action law suits under the Dutch WAMCA-regime, and defending a group of car dealers in a class action law suit relating to diesel emissions. Margriet was also involved in the proceedings for the binding declaration of the EUR 1.3 billion Fortis settlement, and the subsequent execution of the settlement agreement.

Margriet regularly publishes and lectures in the field of civil procedural law and arbitration law. She is editor of a leading commentary on Dutch civil procedural law, Sdu Commentaar Burgerlijk Procesrecht.

Furthermore, Margriet chairs the Advisory Committee for civil procedural law of the Dutch Bar Association (NovA).
