Sylvie Rodrigue, Ad. E. is the managing partner of Torys’ Montréal office, Chair of the Firm’s National Class Action Practice and Chair of its National Product Liability Practice. Dual-called in civil and common law, she shares her time weekly between the Firm’s Toronto and Montréal offices. Recognized for her versatility and the breath of her Class Action practice across the country, she has been representing clients across industries and jurisdictions, including the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada, for over 30 years. She has been involved in a wide range of multi-jurisdictional cases relating to tobacco, led paint, pharmaceutical (contraceptives, opioids, drugs to treat diabetes, cold and flu, Parkinson), medical devices (IUDs), pesticides and chemicals (Neonix, Roundup, PFAS), automotive (air bags, paint), aeronautic (landing gear) and fire protection systems (sprinklers).Among her many recognitions, she was awarded the 2023 Ontario Bar Excellence in Class Action, 2020-2022 Product Liability Litigator of the Year and yearly since 2014, top Canadian
