Daan is partner and head of litigation at Van Doorne N.V. He specialises in contract law, litigation and mass claims. Before joining Van Doorne, Daan was a partner at De Brauw for more than 10 years.

Daan uses his expertise to support leading companies in both national and international complex commercial disputes.

He has been involved in numerous high-profile cases in the Netherlands as lead counsel and his work has earned him the ILO’s Client Choice Award for best litigator in the Netherlands. In addition, Daan is recognized as Lead Partner in two Legal500 categories: Class Actions and Commercial Litigation.

Daan also serves as a deputy judge at the North Holland District Court. He publishes and lectures widely on his field and is regularly quoted on the topic of mass claims by leading Dutch newspapers. Daan contributed to a recent handbook on mass claims.
