Alexander Spoor is a South African attorney and Managing Director of Richard Spoor Incorporated (RSI), one of Africa’s leading plaintiff law firms specialising in class actions. He has played a central role in the strategic development and execution of large-scale litigation spanning occupational health, environmental harm, and consumer product liability, including nationally significant class actions involving thousands of claimants.

In parallel, Alexander is a founder of Spot Settlements, a specialist claims administration platform developed in collaboration with RSI and the specialist software designer and co-founder Ken Gliddon, the man behind some of South Africa’s most successful trust structures. Originating from the need to solve the operational and technological challenges of class action litigation, Spot Settlements delivers end-to-end solutions for claimant identification, data reconciliation, notice programmes, validation, and distribution. The platform has been deployed in large-scale settlements involving complex datasets.

He regularly engages with international practitioners, funders, and administrators on the evolution of class action mechanisms and contributes to the development of best practices in claims administration, notice design, and settlement implementation.
